Children who are Glastonbury residents must be registered with our school system, even if they they will enroll at a regional magnet school.
Please follow these steps to register your child with Glastonbury Public Schools.

Click the registration button below. You will enter a few details about your child and your contact information. By the next business day, you will receive an email with your account information and directions for registering. Registration must be started within 10 days, or your account will be deactivated.
Save your PowerSchool login information in a safe location. You will use it in the future to access report cards, update contact information, etc. If your password is ever compromised, you should change it immediately.
Please continue with the registration process even if the health form is not yet complete. Submit this form as soon as possible. The health record must be on file before the student's first day of school, but do not delay the registration process while waiting to complete the physical exam.
Any child who is five years of age on or before September 1, 2026, and who meets all residency requirements is eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2026-2027 school year.
Age requirement waivers are not available. Students must meet the established age eligibility requirements for enrollment.

Kindergarten registration for the 2027-2028 school year is not yet open. Please check back in January 2027.
Please note: The Glastonbury Board of Education regularly reviews student enrollment and school building capacity. In the coming years, elementary school attendance boundaries may be adjusted to balance enrollment and maintain reasonable class sizes across the district.

If you plan to withhold your child from kindergarten for the school year, Connecticut State Law 98-243 requires that you personally appear at the Glastonbury Public Schools Central Office and sign a document indicating that your child will be held out for the year. The purpose of the legislation is not to interfere with the rights of parents but to provide information to assist in making an informed decision.
