Adult and Continuing Education

The Glastonbury Adult and Continuing Education program provides a variety of classes for adult and high school students and is administered by Glastonbury Public Schools.

The Connecticut Association of Boards of Education assists local and regional boards of education in providing high quality education for all Connecticut children through effective leadership.

Capitol Region Education Council

Glastonbury Public Schools is a member of this regional educational council known as CREC. For students, parents, educators, and administrators. 

CT State Department of Education 

Through leadership, curriculum, research, planning, evaluation, assessment, data analyses and other assistance, the Connecticut State Department of Education helps to ensure equal opportunity and excellence in education for all Connecticut students. 

East Glastonbury Public Library 

South Glastonbury Public Library

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the library remains a vibrant cultural institution, offering an excellent collection of current literature and hosting a variety of cultural and community events. It is one of the oldest all volunteer libraries in the country.

Welles-Turner Memorial Library

The mission of the Welles-Turner Memorial Library is to provide books and other media, facilities, and professional services to inform, educate and culturally enrich the community..

Exchange Club of Glastonbury 

Service organization dedicated to building a better Glastonbury community by supporting programs that further Americanism, develop youth, and prevent the abuse of children. 

FOGY 

The Friends of Glastonbury Youth supports and funds group and individual activities for the youth of Glastonbury, and honors individuals wiho devote their time and skills to the betterment of Glastonbury's youth. 

Glastonbury Community Action Partnership (GCAP)

GCAP is dedicated to proactive alcohol, drug, and mental health prevention and supports healthy and informed decision-making for youth and families.

GMLKCI is a not for profit corporation whose mission is to provide leadership and active engagement to build an inclusive community.

Glastonbury Newcomers' and Neighbors' Club

This mission of this club is to welcome new and long-time residents to our town, provide programs and social activities of interest to members, foster new friendships, and promote community involvement.

Glastonbury Teen Center

A drop in center featuring pool, table tennis, air hockey, foosball, arts & crafts, homework room with computers that have monitored internet access, and special activities. Transportation is provided for after-school hours from Smith Middle and Gideon Welles. Daily admission or school year pass available. See description in current Parks and Rec brochure.

Glastonbury YMCA

The Glastonbury YMCA provides a variety of programs and services for families and children including the After-School Latch Key Program.

Historical Society of Glastonbury

The Historical Society of Glastonbury works to preserve the Town’s past and to display it in an educational and entertaining fashion.

Lutz Children's Museum

The Lutz Children's Museum provides a multi-faceted museum for children to explore culture, history, and the natural sciences through internal and external exhibits, programs, and experiences.
