School Closing

In order to protect the health of our students, staff, parents, and community from the coronavirus pandemic all Glastonbury Public Schools are closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. This includes all school related events including athletics. During this time, buildings will be locked and inaccessible to the public. Students will be engaged in e-Learning during the school closure. We will continue to monitor the coronavirus situation and will keep you informed.

Best Practices to Avoid the Coronavirus

Staying Healthy

  • Wash hands frequently and thoroughly for at least 20 seconds
  • Use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Stay home when you are sick
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, and then throw the tissue in the trash
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Wash your Hands Often

Stay healthy by washing your hands often, especially during these key times when you are likely to get and spread germs:

  • Before, during, and after preparing food
  • Before eating food
  • Before and after caring for someone at home who is sick with vomiting or diarrhea
  • Before and after treating a cut or wound
  • After using the toilet
  • After changing diapers or cleaning up a child who has used the toilet
  • After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
  • After touching an animal, animal feed, or animal waste
  • After handling pet food or pet treats
  • After touching garbage
