Any child who will be five years of age on or before January 1, 2019 and meets all residency requirements, is eligible to begin kindergarten at the start of the 2018-19 school year. It is important that you register your kindergarten student as soon as possible, beginning in January of the year they will be starting school in the fall. If you have any questions, please contact the registrar at or 860-652-7940.

If you plan to enroll your child at a magnet school for kindergarten,
you still MUST register with Glastonbury Public Schools.

Register your Kindergarten Student

Please review and follow the three steps below to register your kindergarten student at Glastonbury Public Schools.

1. Carefully review the following:

Residency Requirements Policy and Regulations 5118
Elementary School District by Street (to find your home elementary school)

2. Complete the Online New Student Pre-Registration process.

You will create a new account first. Save your login information in case you need to return to this site.
Please note, your registration is not complete until you have completed step #3.

3. Schedule a visit at the Glastonbury Public Schools Central Office.*

At the completion of your online pre-registration, you will be prompted to schedule a brief session with our Registrar, Laurie Grenus, to complete your student's registration. You will need to bring several required documents with you for the registrar to scan. These are listed when you complete the online process. You may also click here for more information on the required registration documents. The registrar is located at the Glastonbury Public Schools central office at 628 Hebron Avenue (the only 5-story building in the complex).

*Please continue with the registration process even if the health form is not yet complete. Submit this form as soon as possible, as the health record must be on file prior to the student's first day of school; but do not delay the registration process while waiting to complete the physical exam.
