EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
CT CERTIFIED POSITIONS:
TEACHERS/ADMINISTRATORS: Glastonbury Public Schools requires that all interested persons file an application with the Office of the Superintendent. This includes an application (downloadable below), cover letter and resume, three letters of reference, transcripts (may be copies - if you are a finalist for a position, you will need to provide official transcripts), and proof of valid Connecticut certification. If certification is pending, consideration will be made.
Glastonbury Public Schools accepts teacher applications throughout the year. Applicants can keep current by updating resumes already on file. When a position becomes available, it is posted on www.ctreap.net and www.cea.org . Principals and Curriculum Area Directors will review applications on file as well as new ones and they will initiate interviews.

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS: Glastonbury Public Schools accepts Substitute Teacher applications, for per diem substituting, throughout the year. Applicants must file a complete application (downloadable below) including datasheet and addendum and must provide official transcripts of a four-year degree or a valid Connecticut certification. Upon receipt of application you will be notified about substitute training and fingerprinting. Applications are returned to the Business Office - address is on the application form. TUTORS: Applications for Tutors are accepted by the Special Education Department throughout the year. Tutors must have a four-year degree but CT Certification is not required. Applicants should return completed applications (downloadable below) to the Special Education Department at the address on the application form. For further tutor information, call (860) 652-7972.

FOR ALL OTHER POSITIONS: Applications are accepted throughout the year for all other classified positions including: secretaries and paraprofessionals, custodians and maintainers, nurses, security officers, food service, and bus drivers. Applicants are required to submit a completed General Employment Application (downloadable below). When positions are available, Glastonbury Public Schools will initiate all interviews.
