Glastonbury Public Schools uses an on-line system to post employment openings and to collect applications. Please review the information below and click the button to enter the site. Please do not call to follow up on an application, as we do not have the staff resources to reply to such inquiries, much as we'd like to be able to. As long as you have completed an online application, rest assured we have your information and will follow up with you if we'd like to invite you for an interview.
- To apply for a position you must electronically submit a complete employment application online along with all other required documents (e.g., resume, letters of reference, copies of transcripts, proof of certification, cover letter). These items should be scanned and uploaded to your application. No hard copy submissions will be accepted. Please contact Human Resources if an accommodation to apply is needed.
- Submit your application only once. You may indicate interest in specific positions as they are posted, but you need to link your application each time you apply for a position.
- The on-line system allows you to revisit your application to update information and attachments as often as necessary. Just enter your password. If you have forgotten it, there is an electronic link to request it be sent to you. Applications will be kept for two years after you have last updated the file.

Certified Positions (Requiring valid CT certification):
Teachers/Administrators: Glastonbury Public Schools requires that all interested persons file an application. This includes an on-line application, cover letter and resume, three letters of reference, transcripts (may be copies - if you are a finalist for a position, you will need to provide official transcripts), and proof of valid Connecticut certification. If certification is pending, consideration will be made. Principals and Curriculum Area Directors will review applications on file as well as new ones and they will initiate interviews. Substitute Teachers: Glastonbury Public Schools accepts Substitute Teacher applications, for per diem substituting, throughout the year. Applicants should submit a complete application on-line and must provide official transcripts of a four-year degree or a valid Connecticut Teaching certification. Upon receipt of application, qualified applicants will be contacted to begin the hiring process, which includes an interview, training and a background check. All Classified Positions: Classified positions include tutors, secretaries, paraprofessionals, custodians, maintainers, nurses, security officers, food service, and bus drivers. Applicants should submit a complete application on-line. As positions become available, applications will be reviewed and qualified candidates will be contacted for interview.
