The Glastonbury MLK Community Initiative invites everyone to a Community Conversation on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Riverfront Community Center from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. This event will feature the Looking In Theater, a cast of high school students who attend the Greater Hartford Magnet School of the Arts, performing skits that address current social justice issues. The students and audience will then participate in a discussion of the issues which impact them individually and as a community. Jonathan Gillman, a Harvard-educator playwright and director of the group, and Dean Alfred Carter, an educator, sociologist, and humanist, will both moderate the discussion. The event is FREE and open to the public. Please click below for more information.
