All are invited to celebrate and honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 7 pm at Smith Middle School. The theme of this year's 15th annual event, sponsored by the Glastonbury MLK Community Initiative, is "Reaching Across Boundaries; Making a Difference." The program will feature keynote speaker Dean Alfred Carter from Manchester Community College and musical performances by the Naubuc School Early Bird Choir and the GHS Madrigal Chamber Choir, as well as student produced films and skits by the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts and winners of the Hartford Reel contest. The celebration is FREE and open to the public. Non-perishable food donations will be collected to benefit the Glastonbury Food Pantry. The event flyer below was designed by GHS Class of 2016 student Nicole Hayes.
